The children of Westlands First School are looking for two kind, funny and caring Teaching Assistants to join our wonderful, nurturing school, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities on a one to one basis.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant who is aspirational and determined to help our pupils.
Job Requirements:
- To assist in promoting the learning and personal development of the pupil to which you are assigned to enable them to access learning and make the best use of the educational opportunities available to them.
- To assist with the provision of general care and welfare of the pupil, including assisting with personal hygiene routines
- To assist in the implementation of programmes and strategies designed by other professionals such as Educational Psychologists and Speech Language Therapists
- To use positive behaviour strategies to enable the pupil to access learning and where appropriate, to know and apply positive physical handling techniques.

- A good basic education to GCSE with a minimum Grade C GCSE in English and Maths
- Experience working with young people
