37 hours per week – Monday – Friday (8.30 – 4.30 p.m.)
Term time only plus 10 days (41.2 working weeks)
Salary: Grade 5 (SCP6 to SCP9) £20,043 to £21,269 (pro rata)
Actual Pro Rata salary £18,212.40

Kingsmead School, a partner academy in John Taylor Multi-Academy Trust (JT MAT) is looking to appoint an ICT Technician.

This opening gives the applicant the opportunity to help strengthen the IT backbone of a school rated Good (with elements of Outstanding) by OFSTED, and where “pupils thrive”. Working closely with the Data/Network Manager and ICT Co-ordinator, you will be enabling students and staff to excel through ensuring the computer network is accessible and responsive. You will also have responsibility for the school’s Chroma-Key (green screen) equipment, using it to record student’s work and edit it to a specification.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience with Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012 and up in a networked environment
- Experience with school MIS systems and Adobe Premiere Pro is desirable but not essential; where necessary, training will be provided.
- Be able to demonstrate computing skills in both hardware and software configuration
- Be willing and able to learn and take that knowledge forward
- Have a keen attention to detail
- Be able to manage their workload and prioritize multiple tasks
- Be ready to respond in person to incidents across the school site
- Be prepared to undertake tasks such as crawling under desks or working at height in ceiling spaces
