We are currently recruiting for a Learning and Engagement Manager
We are seeking an enthusiastic and effective person to lead on the museum’s Learning and Engagement programmes. You’ll be joining an organisation with family friendly approach committed to making our diverse communities welcome.
Your will be responsible for the learning programme, which includes activity from pre-school to post retirement. You will develop projects which enable communities to engage with museum collections and bring positive life outcome for participants.
You will lead the team of Museum Assistants and Access Assistants to ensure that from the first Hello, everyone is welcome and made to feel at home at the museum.
You will be required to assist in generating income through the schools programme, events and other initiatives including submitting funding bids.
Some evening, weekend and Bank Holiday work will be required.
Educated to degree standard in a relevant subject you must have a demonstrable knowledge and experience of planning and delivering learning and outreach activities, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate with a wide range of groups and individuals. You will have experience of supervising and/or leading teams of people. Good organisational and time-management skills are essential.
