MS1 – UPS, £25714 - £41604 per annum (depending on experience)

The children of Westlands First School are looking for a kind, nurturing and experienced teacher to join our wonderful, caring school. 

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Class Teacher who is a consistently good to outstanding classroom practitioner.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a creative and inspirational teacher who plans and delivers highly engaging and exciting learning sequences  
• Be passionate about teaching and learning, ensuring every child makes good progress
• Have excellent organisational skills and classroom practice
• Be punctual and professional at all times
• Be able to work effectively as part of a team and use own initiative
• Have an awareness and willingness to support pupils who have SEND enabling them to access the curriculum
• Respect confidentiality and the potential sensitivities of working in a school, e.g. safeguarding laws
• Have experience and a sound working knowledge of teaching children with Special Educational Needs within a mainstream setting
• Be able to demonstrate in their application that they can fulfil the main duties of the person specification as a minimum
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be organised, efficient and highly dedicated

Requirements:

If you have the skills and experience we are looking for, we would like to hear from you. All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, Barred List Checks, along with other relevant pre-employment checks by the school. Enhanced DBS disclosures will be renewed at least every five years.

Shortlisting will take place on Friday 8^th July 2022 and successful candidates will be notified by email if they have been selected for interview.

Interviews will take place w/c 11^th July 2022 and will include an interview and a teaching observation.
