Business Support Officer- Programme Management, Ref: RT04122

Salary: G5: £21,269 - £24,920 per annum

Fixed Term – until July 2023 

An exciting opportunity within the Business Support Team has arisen for a Business Support Officer. The role will provide specific support to the Programme Management Team, encompassing a range of programmes and projects e.g. Town Deals, Enterprise Zone, and other external funding.

Within the Team you will:

  • Support officers in providing high quality assistance including diary management for a range of meetings for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organise, co-ordinate and service (agenda preparation, minutes etc.) a range of statutory multi agency forums.
  • Liaise, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including councillors, senior managers, partners, employees and members of the public as required to ensure the effective performance of the service.
  • Capture, analyse and evaluate data / information and support the production of mandatory and statutory reports / information which is appropriate for a range of audiences.
  • Input, check and maintain a variety of electronic and paper based systems, external and internal records ensuring information is accurate and stored appropriately.
  • Assist in the implementation and evaluation of processes, systems and technology to enable the effective management of data and information and improve council processes. 

For this key role you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills to be able to deal with a diverse range of relationships and a demanding workload that comes from the programmes;
  • Proven experience in the use of IT applications
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment.
