Grestone Academy is a large primary school of over 450 pupils with a nursery.

The Directors of the Trust are seeking to appoint a Pastoral Support Worker to work with our children and families to further improve, safeguarding, attendance, behaviour, and parental engagement. We are looking to appoint a motivated, innovative, and flexible person who is passionate about enabling pupils to thrive by reducing barriers to learning. The right candidate will be committed to joining the team, working in an already improving inner-city school, to ensure children and families are empowered and ALL can participate and benefit from every educational opportunity on offer.

We are really proud of the progress Grestone Academy has already made in becoming a dynamic primary school where everyone plays their part in supporting the children to shine. During our recent Ofsted monitoring inspection (May 2021) Grestone Academy was judged to have made real progress towards securing a ‘Good’ judgement. Inspectors noted

that “Outcomes are improving” and “Staff encourage all pupils to believe in themselves. Pupils are proud of their work”.

The Academy is already well on it’s journey of development and has a clear and concise vision of where it is heading in order to become the very best it can be. We value the role a pastoral team plays in supporting children to thrive. This is a really exciting opportunity to join Grestone Academy at a key point in our journey.

For further details and application form contact Samantha Bailey (Senior Office Manager) to arrange an informal visit to see the Academy.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
