Grade 3 Finance Assistant

Fixed-Term, Term-time only (1.9.2022 – 31.8.2023)

20 Hours p/week – can be worked flexibly across the week subject to agreement with line manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our busy school Business Team. The role will involve supporting colleagues with a range of school finance tasks including processing of invoices, raising purchase orders through the school’s procurement system and processing of goods received, banking and cash reconciliation, processing of school fees, processing Free School Meal applications/e-vouchers, processing/reconciliation of payments on our Parent Comms Application, maintenance of school stock i.e. educational/art resources/PPE/First Aid resources and management of the school Free Milk scheme.

Applicants must have accounting/bookkeeping experience coupled with a working knowledge of accounting processes, strong communication skills and be a natural organiser with strong attention to detail. Excellent ICT skills, including the ability to work methodically and present information clearly are a must. A working knowledge of ParentMail and school MIS would be advantageous. The successful applicant will need to have a calm and flexible attitude to work as well as being highly organised and able to effectively prioritise workloads.
