About us and the role

 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and professional electrical design engineer seeking a new challenge, to join our Property Services team.

 

As part of a wider team including M&E engineers and building surveyors, the postholder will coordinate and deliver works through our supply chain, ensuring high standards and conformity to specification throughout. Working predominately within the county of Warwickshire for a range of customers, the buildings we maintain are include office accommodation, education, fire and rescue, libraries, heritage and culture.

 

This post offers challenge, stimulation and requires a self-motivated,

energetic, enthusiastic and team focused person.  The Mechanical Maintenance Surveyor function is key to our continued success and you will understand how your performance can directly contribute to it.

 

Within Engineering Maintenance you will be working as part of a professional team of engineers and surveyors responsible for a wide range of revenue and capital projects for clients both within and external to the Council.

 

Working from Warwickshire County Council’s property condition data or to external client briefs you will be conducting site surveys, preparing specifications and tender drawings, certifying contractors accounts, instructing contractors, chairing meetings, and managing your own projects through from inception to handover, liaising with all stakeholders along the way. You will be assisting the Team Lead in providing technical support both within Engineering Maintenance and to other services within Warwickshire County Council.

 

The role requires an ambitious, qualified, and motivated electrical engineer who will be provided with all the support needed to deliver a quality service to our customers.
