37 hours per week (there may be occasional weekend and bank holiday working)
Fixed-Term Contract until 31st March 2024

Warwick District Council has a big ambition to eliminate rough sleeping in the district, taking the opportunity to build on its own success to achieve the Government's target of ending rough sleeping by 2024 and to make a lasting difference to the lives of people who have experienced homelessness.

We have an opportunity for the right person to join a small but very committed team of support workers operating in the community, setting up tenancies and sustaining people who have experienced homelessness in different forms of temporary accommodation. We are looking to recruit someone with great communication skills who is able to work independently, has an ability to persuade and motivate and a powerful desire to be part of positive change.

The role is for a fixed-term period ending on the 31st March 2024 and is funded through the Warwick District Council’s Rough Sleeper Initiative.

If you are a passionate “can do” person, driven by a desire to make a positive impact in a demanding but enormously rewarding role, then apply to join our committed and hardworking team.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an Enhance Disclosure and Barring Service Check (formally known as CRB).

The intention is for this role to be office based in the first instance although it is likely that over time hybrid working arrangements will be in place for part of the week.

You are required to have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.

If you wish to have an informal discussion about the post, please contact Elaine Wallace, Housing Needs Manager by email elaine.wallace@warwickdc.gov.uk
