Dudley MBC is a community council rich in history and is very focused on regenerating and reinvesting itself to meet the challenges of the future, forming part of the West Midlands Combined Authority.  Legal Services continues to be accredited with Lexcel, the Law Society's standard in excellence in legal practice management and client care. 

We require an experienced Legal Assistant to provide an efficient and effective service to the Solicitors within the Corporate & Litigation Team with regard to all aspects or Prosecution, Planning, Employment and general Litigation Law. 

Full time (37 hours p/w) – Temporary Fixed Term Maternity Cover for 9 Months

Salary: Grade 7 (SCP 18-23) (£25,419- £28,226)

Location: Hybrid/Working From Home/4 Ednam Road, Dudley, DY1 1HW

The successful candidate will be suitably qualified with good communication and organisational skills and will be required, amongst other things to draft legal documentation (under supervision), assist with the preparation of court evidence bundles and support hearings at Magistrates, Crown Court and Committees as well as assisting solicitors in the day to day management of legal cases.   

This post holder will be able to work within the Council's Flexible Working Policy, subject to the business needs of the Council being fulfilled.
