Salary:   £34,373 - £39,571 per annum (which includes 2SCP for unsociable hours) plus sleep in allowance per night.

 

Location: Brunswick Place, Stafford

 

Contract & Working pattern: Permanent | Full time | 1 x 37 hours per week

 

About Brunswick Place

 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work in a Children’s Home provision in Stafford. Brunswick Place is a small residential home which is currently registered with Ofsted as a sole placement for one young person. This is an exciting opportunity for right person to join the team to deliver a high-quality service.

 

The role

 

The Deputy Manager will undertake a lead role in supporting the Manager in ensuring that the home fulfils all the necessary requirements under the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.  Along with the Quality Standards for Children’s Homes 2015 and associated frameworks and legislation relevant to the improvements of outcomes for looked after children.

 

Experience of working in a management role and working with children and young people in a residential setting is required and you must have a minimum of NVQ or QCF level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People.

 

What you’ll bring

 

You must have:

 

- A minimum of NVQ or QCF level 3 in Caring for Young People

 

Ideally it would be great if you have an NVQ/QCF Level 4 or above in Management or that you would be committed to doing this qualification with us once in post.

Please note on occasion in residential care there is a need to only accept applicants from a particular protected characteristic. As per the exceptions under the Equality Act 2010 there is an occupational requirement for this role to be fulfilled by someone aged 22 years or over. The reason being that we are legally required to ensure that anyone appointed is at least 4 years older than our oldest resident.
