£34,373 - £39,571 per annum
This opportunity is open to existing Walsall Council employees only and is offered as a permanent contract or as a secondment opportunity (minimum 12-months).
You said in last year’s Employee Survey that we need to improve communication channels to help colleagues in all areas of the Council to better understand priorities, processes and decisions. Can you help us to do that? If so we want you to join us in a new post created to respond to the results of the Staff Survey.
Our new Communications Business Partner for Staff Engagement doesn’t have to be a communications expert but has to have a passion for Walsall Council, a good understanding of how the Council works and be motivated to improve employee satisfaction and engagement, which is one of our 3 Proud promises.
The Council makes a difference to the lives of people in Walsall every day. We have so much to be proud of and our new Business Partner – Staff Engagement will help us to celebrate our successes and will help us to spread the word about what a great place Walsall Council is to work.
There’s lots to do and you’ll be working as part of the newly created Communications Marketing & Brand service area.
The candidate
- You don’t have to be a communications expert but you need to be a good communicator, someone who will be comfortable talking to colleagues from across the Council
- We need someone with a good knowledge of the Council, and ideally someone who was worked either on cross Council projects or in a number of different areas of the Council, or both
- You’ll need to be a good writer
- We’re looking for someone with excellent organisational skills and experience of leading projects, programmes or campaigns
- Importantly you will be a creative spark who will come to us with lots of ideas
