Job Details

Job Title: Teaching Assistant x 4
Contract Type: Fixed Term
Required from: September 2022

These posts are for fixed-term contracts, due to external funding, with a start date of 6th September 2022. 

We are seeking to appoint 4 enthusiastic and proficient teaching assistants to join our skilled team of teaching and support staff. The positions will primarily involve supporting SEND pupils who have a range complex needs, including learning, communication, social, emotional and behaviour difficulties. A SEN allowance will be paid where applicable.

The successful candidates will ideally: 
Have experience of working in a primary school setting and associated knowledge of the primary curriculum, adapting planning to meet SEN needs and delivering individualised programmes of learning
Have some experience of using communication programmes to support non-verbal pupils;
Have experience or knowledge of working with pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder 
Be able to use their own initiative;
Have good time management skills;
Be able to work as part of a team. 

Communication skills, both written and verbal must be of a good standard. 

The successful candidates will also hold a relevant Level 2 qualification or 
equivalent as a minimum AND since gaining this qualification have primary learning support experience. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate in their application and interview that they have enough experience and professional knowledge to move beyond the position of a Learning Support Assistant.
