Job Details

A unique opportunity to play a leading role in the delivery of major regeneration projects in North Worcestershire supported by £70 million in external grant funding. The funding has been secured by NWedR in the past two years from the Future High Streets Fund, Towns Fund and the recently announced Levelling Up Fund and will support the delivery of major capital projects in Bromsgrove, Kidderminster and Redditch. The gross development value of the proposed projects exceeds £100 million.

We have a significant transformational agenda and the role offers the opportunity to work on projects ranging from new public realm initiatives through to providing new residential development, new flexible workspaces, digital innovation, commercial and cultural hubs. We already have a number of professional teams assisting this programme and are looking for the right individuals to take the lead and ensure that the projects are delivered on scope, time and to budget. You will be part of an agile newly created PMO supported by a cloud-based project management and collaboration platform to ensure efficient and seamless cooperation within and between project teams.

We are looking for a regeneration and development professional with a proven track record of delivering multimillion-pound projects from inception to completion, experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams and contractors and excellent project management skills and experience in the built environment. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and work with the wider team to deliver our ambitious plans. The role requires a ‘self-starter’ who is able to work on their own but is equally comfortable in creating strong relationships and partnerships, which will be key to delivering success.

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you and for an informal discussion about this post please contact Ostap Paparega, Head of North Worcestershire Economic Development and Regeneration, at ostap.paparega@nwedr.org.uk or 01562 732192 / 07580725167.

*North Worcestershire Economic Development & Regeneration (NWedR) is a shared service between Bromsgrove District Council, Redditch Borough Council and Wyre Forest District Council. The service is hosted by Wyre Forest District Council, which is also the employer.

Interviews for this post will be held on  4 August 2022.

Flexible working hours but with bases at Wyre Forest House, Kidderminster; Parkside, Bromsgrove and Redditch Town Hall, Redditch.

We’re developing a new way of working which you could be part of. We are introducing a flexible approach to the workplace. It means that, if the role permits, employees will be combining the benefits of working at home and in the office.

You may be required to provide a suitable vehicle in connection with the duties of this post.

On occasions you will be required to work outside normal office hours as the demands of the post and emergencies dictate in addition to the out of hours rota.  This will also include a requirement to be available for evening meetings.
