Cover Manager - Phoenix Collegiate

Phoenix is looking to appoint an efficient and highly motivated Cover Manage with excellent organisational skills to ensure that cover is provided for all teacher absences on a daily basis. This role can be fast-paced, challenging and no two days are the same, so we need someone who possesses excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. The postholder will also line manage our small team of in-house Cover Supervisors, allocating cover duties and other tasks accordingly.

The School has established strong relationships with external staffing agencies and the successful candidate will be expected to consolidate these links, negotiating the best possible rates and quality of service.

Applicants must have experience of working in an education setting and also in an administrative capacity, with a proven ability to work accurately maintaining attention to detail and accuracy regardless of distractions and imposed deadlines. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection legislation and statutory guidance, and of its importance and implementation in a school environment

Hours:    

32.5 hours per week, Term Time + 1 week

Working hours are 07.00 – 14.00 each day with 30 minutes lunch  

Salary:

Band E - £25,419p.a. - £30,095p.a. (£19,923 - £23,791 Actual salary after adjustment for term time working)
