An exciting opportunity has arisen for a School Clerical Assistant (with attendance duties) to join our admin team at Yardley Wood Community Primary School. Our school sits at the heart of Yardley Wood and we are proud to serve this community. It is a good place to work and learn!
The successful candidate will support our busy and welcoming School Office. Duties will include: operating the MIS registration system on a daily basis to ensure that attendance data is accurate and up to date, investigating pupil absences and issuing marks to ensure that absences are accurately coded, monitoring absence data and liaising with other staff, general administrative functions and reception duties.
They will have good ICT, literacy and communication skills, be confident with answering the telephone and liaising with parents, staff and suppliers, and the ability to work without supervision and as part of a team.
Experience of working in a school environment, and especially knowledge of SIMS management system and attendance procedures, is desirable but not essential, and training will be provided. In return we will provide the successful candidate with a warm, friendly team and a commitment to support them in developing new skills.
Fixed term contract for 12 months initially, after which budget will be reviewed.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
