Required from September 2022

The Governors at Rounds Green Primary School are seeking to appoint a Level 2 Learning Support Assistant to join our caring school and work as part of a team.

In the first instance, this role is to support children across early years and Key Stage 1 with complex communication needs including autism and non-verbal as well as medical needs.

Applicants should be:

  • able to demonstrate a genuine care for the individual pupils
  • able to cater for the needs of each individual child in their care, including supporting their personal care needs
  • able to incorporate a variety of learning strategies
  • able to maintain open communications with parents, colleagues and external agencies in building and maintaining a supportive and encouraging team environment

We are looking for an applicant who:

  • has experience of supporting children with SEND and medical needs
  • can implement targeted interventions, including speech and language programmes
  • understands how to implement IEP’s and EHCPs
  • has excellent interpersonal skills
  • has excellent organisational skills
  • is flexible  and open to change
