EYFS/YEAR 1 Teacher with potential for leadership for the right candidate

Applications for ECTs and more experienced teachers are welcomed

Start date: October 2022, (or earlier if possible)

Are you inspired by the idea of working in a unique small primary school at the heart of Shottery village, just minutes away from Ann Hathaway’s Cottage? If so, you will love our school. This is a school like no other. With just 85 children, and a half Tudor, half Victorian main building, this school offers a unique opportunity for a teacher who is looking to maximise the opportunities of cultural Stratford upon Avon and working in a community where the children are at the heart of all we do.

The children are wonderful articulate pupils who love learning and are looking for an inspirational and innovative teacher.

The EYFS/Year 1 position is exciting because the pupils will be moving into a different classroom space this year with great access to an outdoor area that has a great deal of potential. We are looking with someone who is passionate about Early Years/Year 1 and has a great vision for how you would like this new space to look and function. We are interested in applications from experienced teachers and ECTs, extending the starting date to October in the event that a more experienced teacher will need to give their school notice. Whilst our preference is a full time member of staff, we would consider part time applications for the right candidates. If we have the right candidate, we will also be considering a leadership opportunity, not just for EYFS/Year 1 but also another curricular subject, so please state your curriculum strengths or other management areas such as phonics or SEND.

Quotes from Shottery staff:-
"I have always felt supported and empowered to excel in my performance and development and am considered a valuable member of the school team".
"I love working at Shottery because of the school community, I work with fantastic teachers and staff who value the school and want to create the best environment for the children".
