Actual Salary (£3,258 - £3,597)
Contract Type: Term time only – permanent
Hours: 247 hours per year, annualised into 12 monthly payments.

Mid-Trent Multi Academy Trust is looking to appoint a highly motivated qualified clerk to be the governance professional to the Board. The role includes attendance to take minutes at the meetings listed below, the preparation and distribution of agendas and minutes and management of information such as membership, attendance records and skills audits. The Clerk is also responsible for advising the Trust Board and its various committees on procedural, constitutional and governance matters.
Mid-Trent Multi Academy Trust, comprises of three schools (Colwich CE Primary in Colwich, St Andrews CE Primary in Weston and St Peters CE Primary in Hixon).
The successful candidate will:
- have previous experience of Clerking for a MAT Board knowledge of legislation and regulations around MAT Boards relevant clerking qualification be a proactive team player have good IT skills have excellent organisational and communication skills be reliable, punctual and be adaptable

Knowledge and experience of using Governor Hub is desirable but not essential.
The successful clerk will need to be willing to work flexible hours due to the variable workload to attend the meetings and carry out other work from home (office space is available at school, please discuss at interview). You will need to be available during the day and evening (times can be flexible) in order to attend the following:
- 4 full board meetings of the Directors per year (usually afternoons) 3 Finance Committee meetings of the Directors per year Members – Annual General Meeting 18 Local Governing Body Meetings - 6 per school (early evening) 3 update briefings (1 per term)
The location of the meetings will vary across the schools and so you must be able to travel to all of the schools within the Trust. All meetings are set in advance for the academic year and the meetings will usually be split into approximately eight per term.
