WME are recruiting for two Principal Consultants to join our Management Team – these are pivotal roles that will enable you to have a significant positive impact across the West Midlands.

Reporting to WME Directors, we’re looking for two outstanding individuals who have significant experience and expertise in one of the following areas Workforce Improvement and Organisational Development, Inclusion & Talent.

Principal Consultant – Workforce Specialist

In this new role you’ll lead the development and delivery of workforce improvement programmes across the region, including in adult social care. This role will play a key role in the ‘Regional Adults Workforce & Strategy Team’; a partnership between WME & West Midlands ADASS (WM ADASS).

You’ll work with key stakeholders including West Midland’s councils, Local Government Association (LGA) and Skills for Care amongst others, to promote and deliver sustainable workforce initiatives around recruitment, retention, and workforce resilience.

You’ll be an experienced strategic expert advisor who has substantial experience in developing and implementing people and organisational change programmes with high quality and impactful outcomes within the public sector.

You’ll be able to demonstrate your experience of relationship management, consultancy and providing high level support and guidance to senior managers and colleagues.  You’ll need to be able to operate at a strategic level and facilitate collaborative solutions with leaders across the region and work at a practical and operational level to enable implementation of initiatives on the ground with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Principal Consultant - OD, Inclusion & Talent

The portfolio you’ll lead includes OD, Leadership and Development, Coaching and Mentoring, and EDI focusing on inclusivity across the West Midlands workforce, tailoring our existing offer and introducing new positive action initiatives to meet the needs of the region. As well as leading on partnerships with external organisations, you will work with a team of specialist associates responsible for delivering our services.

We are looking for someone who has a sound understanding of the Consultancy process from your role as a senior internal or external Organisation Development professional.

Your experience may come from the Public or Private sector, what is key is your understanding of the challenges and work of the Public Sector and the role of OD interventions to support our clients. You will have strong practitioner skills with a comprehensive grasp of the whole training and development and consultancy cycle, whilst being a subject matter expert in Equality and Diversity to help our organisations become more inclusive workplaces.
