Specialist Family Support Worker

Salary: £24,046 - £26,027 (based on a 35 hour week)

Are you passionate about achieving the best outcomes for children & young people?
Are you looking for a new challenge or change?
Do you want to further develop your career and knowledge working with an experienced management team?
Do you want to work in an environment where equality and diversity is recognised, promoted, and practiced?

Then Worcestershire Children First needs to be your next move!

We are looking to recruit Specialist Family Support Workers for our Locality Safeguarding Services, working directly alongside Social Workers, supporting children who are on Complex Child in Need Plans and Child Protection Plans - the focus of the work is supporting families to care for their children safely. You will need to have excellent communication skills, be an effective and flexible worker and able to work with families both in crisis and requiring support to make positive changes.

The Safeguarding teams are area based, meaning you work within local communities – able to build links with families and partner agencies! We provide staff with the technology to enable them to work in a flexible & mobile environment and we have local area touch-point offices, ensuring staff have less travel in their roles.

Staff have access to our Learning & Development Service – ensuring they have the right training & CPD opportunities to do their best work.

You will be supported by and working with a stable management group in teams where the culture of ‘team’ being a supportive learning environment is embedded with regular supervision, manageable caseloads, and regular team meetings.

We know how important this is in achieving forward thinking and progressive practice where children and young people experience a great consistent and responsive service, and our partners have trust and confidence in us.

Worcestershire Children First have a great range of benefits including our Health & Wellbeing Service, Diversity Collective, flexible and mobile working, continual professional and career development, and a supportive and creative culture of working where staff value each other.
