About us:
Dove Bank Primary School is situated in Kidsgrove, Staffordshire. The School provides provision for children from the age of 2 to 11 years. Governors wish to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a hardworking and committed teaching team.
The role: KS1 Teaching Assistant – Teaching & Learning Level 3
Candidates should hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 Qualification
Salary: GO4 £19,650 - £20,043 pro rata (term-time only)
The position is a full-time (32.5 hours per week, 8:30am to 3:30pm) fixed term 12-month contract.
The successful applicant will be working in our KS1 classes. The role requires a flexible and creative individual with a good knowledge of working with children in a classroom support role.
We welcome applicants with experience of working with KS1.
The successful candidate will be:
- A high quality practitioner who sets and achieves high standards Flexible and adaptable to work in different situations A good team player with excellent English and Mathematical skills, good communication and the ability to support the class teacher with and other staff within school Experience of delivering Read, Write, Inc phonics would be desirable Confident to provide class cover when necessary Committed to children and their development A person who is enthusiastic and well motivated. Able to maintain a safe environment for children Able to work independently and with initiative A person with a good sense of humour Able to work with individual children and small groups Experienced at delivering interventions for either 1:1 or small groups
