Job Details
We’re looking for an experienced, highly motivated Resourcing Specialist to join our high-performing, professional team.
Resourcing helps to deliver all the council’s recruitment needs, working with hiring managers, as well as current and future employees. Our aim is to get the right person, in the right job, at the right time! You’ll support the full end-to-end recruitment process and will work closely with team members and other Human Resources colleagues. You’ll coordinate permanent and temporary recruitment to identify suitable candidates, arrange interviews, provide feedback and onboard new recruits.
You will also support displaced employees through the redeployment process, matching their skills to available roles and helping them prepare for the interview and selection process.
This role will involve assessing demand coming into the team, making sure work is allocated appropriately. You’ll also help deal with, and countersign, DBS applications. You’ll provide relevant, accurate and helpful advice and guidance to customers, making sure that things are done correctly, ensuring a fair, transparent and consistent approach to recruitment activities at all times.
The successful person will need to show an understanding and appreciation of recruitment best practice as well as relevant HR related legislation and employment law, including GDPR.
You will work closely with internal and external partners, requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills. You should have a proven track record of building effective working relationships with others, as well as working at pace to meet multiple demands. You need to show resilience, be self-motivated and have a flexible approach to ensure customer’s needs are always met and exceeded wherever possible.
You need to be confident using HR-related ICT systems as you will be required to use these daily for applicant tracking, reporting and data provision.
We’ll give you the opportunity to support project work, particularly promoting our employee benefits scheme and enhancing our employee brand, so an interest in this would be a real bonus.
Requirements:
- Educated to NVQ Level 3 standard or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a busy Resourcing environment.
- Experience of project working and supporting the delivery of Human Resources services.
Our Values; Trust, Unity and Progress make us unique, they define how we do things and are reflected in the way we behave. They are important to us, guiding and shaping our organisational culture. Our values are key to us achieving Sandwell’s Vision 2030 and also guide us when we recruit.
