We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, kind and caring Play Worker to join our hardworking team at Moorhens Before and After School Club based at Moor Hall Primary School Moor Hall Primary School is an ‘outstanding’ school providing a caring, nurturing and supportive environment where children feel safe and happy; ready to learn. The Governing Body wish to appoint someone who shares our vision and our high expectations of all children to join our existing team of Play Workers in ‘Moorhens’ our Before and After School Club. The successful candidate will provide care and play opportunities in a safe and secure environment for all pupils aged 4 – 11 years, through individual attention and a range of stimulating activities.
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, however you must be willing to undertake the necessary training and qualifications.
Staff will be expected to work their hours on INSET days and holidays are not allowed during term time.
We are looking for someone who meets the following criteria:
- have an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification
- be able to work as part of a team, sharing excellent practice and learning from others
- demonstrate good level of literacy and numeracy skills
- have excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- be motivated, enthusiastic, caring and adaptable
- have a passion for working with children
