Permanent Post

37 hours per week

Electoral Services is a challenging and ever-changing environment, and we are looking for a candidate who is motivated, positive and has a healthy attitude to change.

This role is for someone who wants to be part of a small, efficient, and busy team already preparing for the 2023 District, Town, and Parish Elections.

We are looking for a candidate who is motivated, enthusiastic, and well organised. A willingness to go that extra mile to meet tight deadlines is a key element for this role. You also have clear verbal and written communication skills, and work with a high degree of accuracy. The ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative is an essential attribute.

The candidate would ideally have experience in electoral administration while also having a keen interest in developing a career in electoral administration and increase their professional skills. Good knowledge of Individual Electoral Registration and knowing the basics of administering an election is vital for this role.

There will be a requirement to work additional hours which will include evenings and weekends mainly in the lead up to elections but on occasion during other key electoral activities to meet the demands of the service.

The successful candidate will be enrolled as a member of the Association of Electoral Administrators, and it would be an advantage if you already hold the AEA Certificate or Diploma in Electoral Administration or are working towards either of the qualifications.  Experience using Civica Xpress software would be desirable, but is not essential, but you must have excellent IT skills.
