We are looking for an experienced ICT technician to join the busy Education ICT Services team who support ICT for schools, libraries and other public spaces in Solihull. Working with three other School Support officers, you will work directly with schools responding to requests as well as carrying out proactive ICT work – all designed to ensure that they get the most out of their ICT resources.

You will need 5x GCSE to include English and Mathematics Grades A-C (9-4) or certified equivalent, or you will have the ability to demonstrate an equivalent level of literacy and numeracy skills.

  • Significant experience of working with hardware and software in a network environment
  • Experience of configuring local area networks
  • Proven experience of configuring, installing and supporting PCs and associated peripherals in a networked environment
  • Communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues of differing levels of technical knowledge
  • The ability to travel to various sites around the borough on a daily basis.
