An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the new Cranstoun: Worcestershire service as part of our Criminal Justice Team. We are seeking competent and knowledgeable Engagement and Recovery Workers with Criminal Justice Specialism.

Cranstoun: Worcestershire provides a range of services for those affected by drugs and alcohol and involved in the Criminal Justice sector. The preventative and self help approach of the service compliments the established treatment and recovery interventions delivered across the County ensuring the service caters for all levels of need. 

You will be responsible for delivering all elements of substance and alcohol misuse work including, case management for those on drug and alcohol treatment orders, ensuring continuity of care for those release from prison, supporting the delivery of the arrest referral service, needle syringe programme, outreach, group work, access and engagement as well as other associated duties.

You need to be committed to the recovery agenda and encouraging clients to utilise their recovery capital within their community. You should have an understanding of a range of interventions, including conducting assessments, case and prescription management, psychosocial key work interventions, harm reduction, group work facilitation and partnership working. You will also have an understanding of electronic recording systems, data management, working to deadlines and completing and reviewing care plans and other essential intervention tools and documents.

The service operates core hours of Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm. The service also offers additional service hours on some days between 8am – 9am and 5 - 7pm. There will be a requirement to cover these hours on a rota basis.

This post will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure plus checks against the Adult Barred List. As this post will work from criminal justice settings, you will also be subject to police vetting.
