Ideally the role would be all year round but we could come to an agreement to a term time only contract plus weeks for the right candidate (e.g term time only, plus 3 weeks).

 

The Role

Windsor Academy Trust (WAT) is seeking to appoint a full time School Finance Partner (Secondary) to work across our nine schools. Ideally the role would be primarily based at Windsor Academy Trust Central Office in Halesowen but will be required to work within all schools across WAT and our North Office as and when required. However, if our North Office in Walsall is closer to your home address, we would be happy to consider your primary base to be in Walsall for the right candidate.

 

We are looking for a confident individual, with experience of working in a financial setting particularly including purchase and sales ledger administration, to support the finance function to ensure the efficient running of the day-to-day finance operations across multiple sites.

 

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, organised and dedicated. They will work closely with the Head of Finance in professional management and direction of the finance team. The School Finance Partner (Secondary) will provide business-partnering support to key stakeholders, ensuring informed financial performance through regular and accurate analysis and reporting. They will have experience in producing a full set of management accounts, budgets, forecasts and business partnering with non-finance stakeholders, as well as holding a professional Accountancy Qualification with evidence of up to date knowledge and relevant accounting experience.

 

Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for all aspects of finance at the academies and developing the in-school finance teams to provide a high level service to their Headteachers and operations managers. To take the lead, financially, on strategic projects within the linked schools and across the Trust. To assist with finance requirements for transitioning new schools to the WAT, including systems set-up, staff training and implementation of policies & procedures. Preparation of monthly management accounts, including year-end forecasts for each of your linked schools, ensuring adhered to the month-end timetable. Providing variance analysis, liaising with budget holders and senior leaders in obtaining explanations to support finance data reported.
