About the role

We are seeking to appoint an energetic and dynamic practitioner who has a passion for working with and supporting school- aged children. The successful candidate will provide support and guidance to children, young people and those engaged with them, by removing barriers to learning in order to promote effective participation, enhance individual learning, raise aspirations and achieve their potential. They will also provide appropriate support/staff training on effective mechanisms to support our students for pastoral colleagues/all staff as required. e.g. training on THRIVE & trauma informed approach.

We are looking for someone who:

 

  • Has an NVQ 3 in teaching and learning /equivalent qualification/ degree
  • Has experience in Thrive approach
  • Has experience of working effectively supporting children in a variety of different learning environments
  • Is experienced in working with outside agencies across different educational settings

 

All staff are expected to know what to do if they have concerns about a child, take on the responsibility for providing a safe environment and promoting children’s welfare, undertake regular safeguarding and child protection training and, familiarise themselves with KCSIE part 1 and local policies and procedures as directed by the trust/academy.
