The Role

Worcestershire County Council's Skills and Investment team as part of the HM Government Plan for Jobs has been awarded £2.68M to develop numeracy skills in residents within the county over the next three years. This exciting project entitled 'Multiply' will drive forward change in numeracy support for our residents and our employers. This exciting project management role will work with our further education, private training providers, employment support providers and others to embed programmes into communities and offers that lead to a step change in individuals lives.

This exciting role working with the Skills programme team will support the introduction of the programme into the county supporting residents with low skills in numeracy as well as working with employers to contextualise support for their workforces. 

The successful candidate will manage the project working with partners across the county to recruit residents into the programme, report on performance to the DfE, manage procurement and drive forward the Multiply programme into the fabric of Worcestershire. The successful applicant will be a strong project manager with excellent communication and a high level of attention to detail.

Reporting to and working closely with a range of partners, you’ll work with Employment Support providers, Local Training Providers and our FE Colleges across Worcestershire  ensuring that your role contributes to deliver the desired outputs, outcomes and benefits, in line with the programme. Reporting to the Employment and Skills Programme Manager, this role will work within our Flexible Working Policy in our Wildwood campus in Worcester to a minimum of two days a week as part of  35 hours a week contract.
