The Opportunity:

The Education Sufficiency and Place Planning team, within the Education Directorate of Worcestershire Children First, are looking for a senior officer who is self-motivated and an experienced project manager to lead on reviews of education provision, as well as school organisational changes and supporting the sufficiency work across all areas of education. 

The County Council has the statutory responsibility to ensure there is sufficient education provision available.  With population increases and significant housing developments, the demand for additional provision is increasing in Worcestershire.  These are key roles to driving forward the reviews for demand for education provision across the county of Worcestershire.   

You will be expected to take a lead role on mainstream or specialist provision planning.  You will act as the senior officer in relation to School Organisation and place planning matters, whilst supervising three Provision Planning Analysts who are responsible for preparing pupil forecasting and identification of future demand, coordinating school organisation changes and the education contributions from new housing developments.

You will work closely with colleagues in Worcestershire County Council Corporate Property services, Strategic Planning, Commercial and Change, WCF Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Service, School Improvement Service and School Admissions Team.
