Invictus Education are a Multi Academy Trust comprising of six secondary schools and one primary school with over 750 employees and over 5,500 students, based in Dudley, West Midlands. Pedmore High school requires a reliable cleaner to join our friendly team, to provide an efficient and effective service to our school. Start date - 05 September 2022 Permanent, part time 27.5 hours per week, all year round Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:15am - 08:30am & 15:15pm – 18:30pm (split shift) Cleaning experience and knowledge of COSHH regulation would be desirable but is not essential, as full training will be given. Cleaners are responsible for a wide range of cleaning duties and responsibilities, which include ensuring that the school is cleaned every day to the required standard/specification. Be a good communicator and able to organise their workload along with the ability to use their initiative, be proactive and conscientious in addition to being a team player. Working safely using correct warning signs, protective clothing and safety equipment and being mindful of hazards to other staff and students. Compliance with the Health and Safety practices of the Trust/School. You will need to be; • To be physically fit • To be reliable, punctual and have excellent attendance • Possess a flexible and adaptable approach to working patterns and job tasks • Observe safe working practices in carrying out the required duties. • Team player, personable, emotionally intelligent with a sense of humour • Previous experience of working in a school or education setting would be desirable but not essential. This role has been assessed as working in regulated activity and is subject to an Enhanced DBS plus Children’s Barred List Check.
