About The Heart of England Forest
Planting tomorrow’s great native woodland
The Heart of England Forest is an exciting and ambitious charity. We want to help reverse centuries of woodland decline and plant one of the largest forests in England. Our goal is to create a huge, unbroken woodland – a refuge from the modern world where people can rediscover nature and wildlife can flourish. It’s an ambitious vision, which we’re determined to make happen, one tree at a time.
About the Role
You will be joining the charity at a significant moment of progression and growth in our mission to combat climate change, boost biodiversity, and enable more people to spend time in woodlands.
We are fortunate to have an amazing subject to communicate about – our fantastic Forest and all the benefits it brings for the environment, wildlife, and people. Willing to pull on your wellies and get hands on in the Forest, you will be at home in the great outdoors but equally happy to work autonomously from home or the office.
This one-year paid internship will give you the opportunity to experience all aspects of marketing and communications, but with the flexibility to work more in areas that particularly interest you. You will work closely with our Marketing and Communications Manager and Marketing and Communications Officer, but will also collaborate with colleagues across the charity, gathering rich content and creating compelling stories to help increase awareness, engagement, and support for the Heart of England Forest.
