Your current duties and responsibilities are:
- The general running of the kitchen.
The preparation, cooking, presentation and serving of meals of a high quality including assisting with the preparation of menus – taking full consideration of various cultural, religious, medical, and other dietary requirements.
Responsible for the ordering/purchasing of kitchen supplies based on: the number of meals supplied. the agreed menus. the required level of food stocks.
The checking of deliveries of kitchen supplies, ensuring: goods delivered are as ordered. good are as detailed on the delivery note. delivered weight is correct and goods are of the required standard checking the temperature of frozen goods are at the correct temperature.
Arranging and undertaking the stock control of kitchen supplies ensuring that correct stock levels are maintained.
Day to day supervision of the cook, placements, and volunteers.
Ensuring that the appropriate Food Hygiene Regulations are always adhered to – this includes the personal and general hygiene of the staff, the kitchen and equipment.
To be responsible for the cleaning, care and proper use of all equipment and report of any defects, faults, or repairs to the Health & Well Being Divisional Manger. In their absence report to the CEO.
To ensure the general cleanliness of the kitchen, and conduct regular stock takes to ensure adequate stocks are maintained.
General and organisational duties, including attending staff and other meetings, participation in staff training and development sessions.
To ensure the safety and welfare of both the people who use our services and staff comply with the appropriate Heath and Safety Regulations.
Responsible for the collection of all monies for meals served and receipting of cash.
Responsible for the completing of all monitoring paperwork for Environmental Health, stock usage and purchase.
Responsible for developing menus assisted by the cook and people that use our Day Care Service, for all meals and catering events associated with the Health & Well Being Divisional Manger.
To assist the Health & Well Being Divisional Manger in the establishment and promotion of the new snack meals service and cooking and tasting sessions for children and families.
Responsible for all food order received internally and externally for events and functions.
Any other duties as may be appropriate to achieve the objectives of the post.
