ICT Manager

52 Week Contract, 37hrs per week (Mon- Fri)

Scale SO2 SCP 26 – 28: £30,984 -£32,798 per annum.     

Required from September 2022, earlier start to facilitate handover may be arranged.


An exciting opportunity has become available at our state-of-the-art school. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated ICT Manger or experienced ICT Technician looking for their next career step.

Our ethos of ‘Ensuring Excellence’ is at the forefront of everything that we do. The successful candidate will lead by example and provide leadership to the current IT team, support all stakeholders (teaching and support staff, students, visitors and guests), develop and support the running of the schools’ ICT systems.

After a period of rapid development, our IT department is well established and at the forefront of new technology.  We have Office 365 fully embedded across the school making use of SharePoint, Teams, PowerAutomate and Flow.  We use the following technologies/systems:


  • Intune/MEM Salamander - user and group automation services Screen Cloud - cloud based digital signage Office 365 - successful project completed to fully move to the cloud and decommission local data Power Automate and Flow for process automation across curriculum and business operations Teams - blended learning and department curriculum planning New bespoke website in 2022 PaperCut - print management via MFD's Senso Cloud - cloud safeguarding and classroom management Inventry - sign in and visitor management Paxton Net 2 Access Control HikVision IP CCTV across the site VOIP Teleophony (Cisco UCM) Bromcom MIS Xirrus enterprise Wi-Fi Fresh Desk service desk solution

We work closely with out managed service provider Telford & Wrekin Council IT Services to deliver the latest in technology innovation to support the schools aims.

We want you to have:

  • Proven experience of leading and developing IT support services demonstrating exceptional communication and management skills. Attention to detail with a methodical and professional approach to service delivery including appropriate due diligence, planning, documentation and engagement with service management, offsite support staff and third parties. Experience of working in new build schools and/or development of IT services within the educational sector will be a distinct advantage as we build on our solid foundation.
