Janitor - St John’s Primary Academy, Essington
St John’s Primary Academy is committed to providing janitorial support to ensure the effective operation of the Academy. We are looking to employ a highly motivated with a “can do” attitude Janitor to join the team at the Academy. The successful candidate will be required to ensure the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas in accordance with the required standards set by the Academy. The successful candidate will be responsible for the security of the site to ensure all heating systems, plant and equipment is operating satisfactorily. Duties around maintenance and cleaning are also expected including disposing of waste materials, replacing consumables and arranging to clear blockages and clean up spillages as required The undertaking of porterage tasks will also be required including the setting up and clearing away of furniture. Support to the Facilities Manager will also be expected with regards reporting emergencies in the case of faults with gas, electric and water supplies. The Janitor will also be expected to provide support to the Academy through promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the children and young persons that they come into contact with. An adherence to all relevant policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection will be expected at all times. Hours of work will be: 4.30pm – 6.30pm (Mon – Fri) Date of interview 14 September 2022.
