To provide services to meet the requirements of the Council’s Housing Strategy and
Private Sector Housing policies in order to improve well being of residents and  protection of the environment. 

To develop and implement the Council’s Strategic and operational activities associated with Sustainable Warmth funding. 

Reporting to the Principal Environmental Health Officer (Housing) to carry out all technical and other functions relating to private sector housing advice, enforcement and assistance, public health work, as well as other specific responsibilities as outlined.

Qualification in Housing/ Construction and/or at least three years experience in a
housing technical/ enforcement related post.

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months with annual salary of £23,811- £29,906.

For Band 3: The post holder must hold or be studying for a HNC in Construction, or equivalent qualification.

For Band 4: Qualification in Housing/ Construction and/or at least three years’ experience in a housing technical/ enforcement related post.

You may be required to provide a suitable vehicle in connection with the duties of this post.

Flexible approach to working hours, able to work outside normal office hours if necessary, including a requirement to be available for evening meetings.
