Part time: 24.25 hours per week. 
Split across 5 mornings and 3 afternoons (8:45am -12:15pm, 1:15pm-3:30pm)
Temporary – child specific 

Monkspath School is looking to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic and highly motivated Teaching Assistant who enjoys working as part of a team to join our friendly and experienced staff. 

The successful candidate will be based in Year 6 in 2022-2023, working under the direction of our Inclusion Leader and class teachers. 

The post holder will:
•    work to support progress in English, mathematics and other general learning activities 
•    provide support based on English and mathematics through interventions, working both 1:1 and within a small group
•    support English skills through evidence based intervention such as Direct Instruction and Precision teaching
•    be proactive in supporting the development of independence skills 


The post holder will be supporting the high quality provision within our large primary school and will:
•    Have a passion for working with pupils, particularly those with Special Educational Needs
•    Be flexible, proactive and work effectively as part of a team 
•    Understand how children learn and be able to support their development, particularly with key social, emotional, literacy, mathematics and personal skills
•    Have high expectations and be able to inspire pupils in order to further enhance learning 
•    Be willing to undertake further training
•    Be qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent
