Wraparound Manager - from September 2022
Permanent – Term Time only
The Role
St Nicholas C of E Primary School is seeking to employ a Wraparound Manager (12.5 hours) to join its enthusiastic and dedicated team.
The successful candidate will need to work as part of our experienced team. You will be able to provide a safe and caring environment in order that children can enjoy a range of enriched play, learning and leisure activities at breakfast and after school club.
Our Wrap Around club runs from 7.15 – 8.45 am Monday to Friday, 3.15pm – 6.00pm Monday – Thursday and 3.15 – 5.30 on a Friday.

Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience of working with 4 to 11 year olds in a play or education environment.
- An appropriate childcare or play work qualification (NVQ Level 2/3), or the equivalent in experience.
- Educated to at least GCSE/GCE O level/CSE grade 1 in literacy and numeracy to be able to read and understand procedures, policies and legislation
- First aid qualification (or willingness to undertake training)
- Food hygiene certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience of managing staff.
Knowledge and understanding:
- An understanding of what constitutes good quality, accessible childcare which meets children’s wide range of developmental needs.
- Knowledge of health and safety and food hygiene procedures.
- Knowledge and understanding of basic administration systems or willingness to undertake relevant training (keeping registers - payment logs, ParentPay, etc.)
- Understanding of safeguarding and best practice.
- Understanding of positive behaviour management.
Skill Competencies
- Professional manner and able to respect confidentiality at all times
- Able to be consistent, sensitive and effective in terms of pupil behaviour, in accordance with the school’s policies and pupil needs
- IT literate – preferably MS Office, MS Excel, ParentPay, Office Forms, Email, Studybugs or other similar communication system.
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interaction skills with child, parent and colleagues
- Ability to create an inspirational and stimulating child centred play and care environment
- A commitment to the school’s values
