We are looking to recruit to these new and exciting posts; Please Note: WE ARE LOOKING FOR EXPERIENCED MENTAL HEALTH CLINICIANS WITH A CORE PROFESSION OF EITHER RMN, OT OR SOCIAL WORKER. We are looking for staff who are motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic and are able to work autonomously with substantial experience of working with people with severe mental health problems. We are looking for candidates that have the energy and drive to support Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Providers within Coventry and Warwickshire.

The posts will be part of our secondary care Community Mental Health services and will have close links with our safeguarding team. Both post holders will cover separate areas but will work closely together

These are non-patient facing roles that will provide support to Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence voluntary and independent providers by providing a mental health liaison and signposting role.  They will also provide training to providers around common mental health conditions and training that equips providers to support to their service users.

You will need to demonstrate autonomous clinical skills and hold a broad and in-depth theoretical knowledge base of the mental health conditions, experiences and trauma that people who are victims of Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence may be experiencing.

You will need to have knowledge and experience of Mental Health services including, needs and interventions offered in community services and theoretical knowledge of this in order to provide high quality liaison, signposting, training and support. You will need to have an understanding of Risk Management and legislation particularly in relation to domestic abuse and sexual violence.

You will need to have excellent networking, collaboration and communication skills with a number of providers and stakeholders with relevant experience working with individuals or professional groups.

To provide liaison between Community Mental Health Services and Voluntary and Independent Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence providers.  To support Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence providers with support and advice on how to access appropriate mental health support for service users.

To provide an opportunity to support Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Providers in alleviating suffering and distress for their service users in a timely way.  The roles will enhance and simplify the service users’ journey and create better joint working between providers and CMHS that will make it easier for service users to obtain help in a timely way.

To design, develop and deliver packages of high-quality training to voluntary and independent Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Providers to enhance providers knowledge of common mental health conditions. These training packages will also provide information based practical support around the management of mental health conditions and complex presentations.

The roles will provide attendance at MARAC meetings and other risk management forums as required across Coventry and Warwickshire.

To strengthen and maintain collaborative links and connected partnerships with Voluntary and Independent Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Providers.

You will need to have highly developed clinical skills with an in-depth knowledge of mental health and current practice.

To be aware of local Safeguarding Processes and Procedures for Adult and Children and develop a close alliance and collaboration with CWPT Safeguarding Team.

The post holder and team will be required to work to the organisation’s agile working policy.
