Assistant SENCo (Special Needs Coordinator)

Salary £25,244 - £26,915 p.a. for 37 hrs a week over 40 weeks p.a. (£28,226 - £30,095 p.a.pro-rata) 

This is an exciting, dynamic and fulfilling role within a supportive and growing department. Our Assistant SENCo will be working within the wider SEND team to identify needs for all students recognised with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND). The role includes the leadership of a large team of Teaching Assistants to ensure appropriate provision of support, and high standards of communication and administration.

Our SEND team is at the heart of our Inclusion vision for Myton School, supporting CPD and training within the school community. The role will focus on supporting families, students and staff to ensure the best outcomes and successful next steps for young people. Myton School is highly committed to CPD, training and collaborative working- both within school and our local schools.

Previous experience of supporting students with SEND and managing staff is essential.
