Property Repairs Officer

A vacancy has arisen within the Property Repairs Services (PRS) department for a Property Repairs Officer. The service delivers responsive property repairs, and void property refurbishments across several locations within the Borough.

The role will involve working on the planning process within the PRS to deliver a high quality, customer focussed service by efficiently allocating resources and responding to customer requests. You will be responsible for planning all works carried out by the service and assigning suitable resources according to their skill set, and forward planning where necessary to ensure service delivery is efficient and effective

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, a strong customer service background and robust problem-solving skills. In addition, the ability to prioritise work and react professionally to an ever-changing situation is an essential requisite for the role along with being an excellent team player with good administrative and communication skills.

Applicants will have the ability to supervise and manage a small team of work planners / schedulers to ensure high quality of work is achieved within efficient and cost-effective time scales. They will also work alongside established estates and property professionals in a small and successful team.
