Brokerage Liaison Officer  

Salary: £23,953- £27,514 per annum (pro rata)

 37 Hours per week

We are seeking passionate individuals with experience of working in an adult social care setting.

Staffordshire County Council Brokerage Service plays a crucial role in sourcing care and support services to meet adult social care assessed needs while achieving best value for the taxpayer.

The service has progressed and adapted to the demands and having adapted our model we are entering into a new and exciting phase which will involve brokering appropriate and supportive services to meet the needs identified by the Assessing Teams, support direct engagement with citizens, their family members, carers or representative regarding service offers and arranging timely commencement of their care and support services.  To further develop our team we are looking to recruit skilled Brokerage Liaison Officers who are able to undertake and explain comprehensive information and manage any conflict in line with agreed Council policies and procedures and have the ability to manage a case load and the risks this may present.

The team use digital systems where possible to source care and support, but for some services contact providers directly to negotiate both price and quality.  This includes residential and nursing care, home care, extra care, day care and carer support.

The team work closely with the Council’s commissioners, commercial unit and quality assurance team, so that any gaps in market capacity can be quickly identified and resolved. They also link closely with care providers, giving them as much information on future and present demand as possible.
