We are looking for an experienced and well motivated individual with planning experience to support Wyre Forest District Council in their ambitious plans for housing and economic growth.
Working with a newly adopted Local Plan and with a new combined Development Management and Planning Policy team, there is a fantastic opportunity to deliver positive growth within Wyre Forest.
The successful applicant will head up this busy and well-regarded team, which is dealing with a large number of major applications following recent adoption of the local plan and also in delivering supplementary planning documents prior to commencing the next review of the local plan.
This is a great opportunity for a Planning Officer in a senior role to take that next step up to a Planning Manager.
Applicants must have proven experience, knowledge and skills within planning to be able to manage the Planning Team which provide the statutory functions of Development Management, Planning Policy formulation and Land Charges.
The successful candidate will have expertise in technical, legal and procedural elements of a wide range of planning related issues, have a relevant degree and RTPI corporate membership.
The annual salary for this position is £49,025 + market supplement for an exceptional candidate.
You may be required to provide a suitable vehicle in connection with the duties of this post.
To work outside normal office hours from time to time as the demands of the post and emergencies dictate in additional to the out of hours rota.
