Civil Enforcement Ranger £20,043 - £21,269 pro rata per annum plus 1% shift allowance  2 permanent posts - 37 and 16 hours over a 7 Day Rota

The Ranger Team at Warwick District Council are looking for someone to join their busy team to help ensure people visiting our parks and car parks have a good experience.

This role suits someone who enjoys being outdoors, to act as a high profile ‘Council Ambassador’ engaging with the public, in a confident and friendly manner, sometimes in difficult situations.  Rangers deal with enquiries from members of the public and supporting other council departments including Green Spaces, Community Protection and Housing.

This will involve lots of walking so please consider this before you apply.  They will need to have a fair and consistent approach towards vehicles contravening the parking restriction(s) and have the ability to liaise with CCTV, the Police and other Council departments/stakeholders to deal with a variety of anti-social behaviour that may arise in our parks, car parks and open spaces.

The Parking and Ranger Service will operate 7 days a week including bank holidays from 0600 until midnight. The job holder will be required to work a shift Rota system during the hours of operation in order to deliver the service to the district.

The job holder must be confident to work alone, make decisions without direction at times and be self-motivated, flexible and trustworthy.

The job holder will be based in various locations in towns across the District. At times they will be expected to travel between these towns at short notice and therefore a full driving license is required to comply with these requests.

In return, Warwick District Council offer a wide range of benefits such as competitive salary, option to join Local Government Pension Scheme and free BUPA Cash plan scheme to name a few - Council Employee Benefits

If you are interested please call one of the Senior Rangers (Dave Anderton or Jamie Hill) on 01926 314009 or email david.anderton@warwickdc.gov.uk , Jamie.hill@warwickdc.gov.uk
