About us and The Role

There is an exciting opportunity to join Warwickshire’s Children with Disabilities Team as an Enhanced Team Leader. Warwickshire is creating a 0-25 Team, and you will have the opportunity to join us on our exciting new journey. You will be joining a very well-established, and highly motivated team, where the support and development of our practitioners is prioritised.

The Children with Disabilities Team is a County Wide and fast-paced team, but one with a very supportive and cohesive team culture. We adopt a positive, can do and problem-solving approach to our work. Based on restorative and trauma-informed practice, we set ourselves high standards. We are not afraid to challenge ourselves and others. With free onsite parking and agile and flexible working, this is a great time to join the Team!

We are looking for an Enhanced Team Leader to join our 0-25 Disability Service and play a central role in delivering high-quality and responsive social work across children’s and adults’ services (up to 25). You will lead and inspire a Team of Social Workers and Family Support Workers who are working with and supporting children under Child in Need, Child Protection and Children in Care. This role is also about supporting young people into adulthood and the transition planning around this.

In Warwickshire, we have Warwickshire’s Academy who will support you in your role in developing the practice of our Newly Qualified Social Workers. We also value the expertise of our Advanced Practitioners who also work alongside Team Leaders to support the development and upskilling of staff. We are looking for someone who is innovative and has the experience to join us, and work with us in further developing our service.

We are building something very special in Warwickshire. A community of practice – with diverse thought, skills & experiences.

“Leaders have implemented a wide range of measures to ensure that children’s needs are met well. They have a sound understanding of the quality of frontline practice and, despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, they have been tenacious in securing resources and ensuring that services continue to improve. As a result, social workers have continued to support vulnerable children well.” Ofsted February 2022

If you have a passion for promoting equality and independence for disabled children, young people and their families, we want to hear from you!
