The Role

As part of our Worcestershire Children First (WCF) 21/22 business plan we are taking the Supporting Families First approach to delivering in house multi-disciplinary direct work to our Children in Need. With the aim of enabling them to create and sustain positive changes to prevent them from becoming a child in need of protection or coming into Local Authority care.
We are keen to speak with committed, passionate and enthusiastic children and family social workers who meet the attached Person Specification to work as an Advanced Social Work Practitioner in one of our 3 Pods.

These posts are 37 hours per week with a salary ranging from £36,371 to £39,571, including market forces (£4,000) and annual retention payment (£3,000). External applicants are also eligible for a £3000 welcome payment.*

Within the role you will be the allocated Advanced Social Work Practitioner leading on a plan and intervention with your pod of multi-disciplinary workers who are assigned to the support the family. The caseload of Supporting Families First staff is predominantly Child in Need with some challenge to care work.
Your main responsibilities include the coordination of our multi-disciplinary support to families within our pod system. You will hold supervisory responsibility for some non-social work qualified staff in your pod and you will also utilise the Worcestershire Webstar to form a family plan that aspires to create sustainable change.
