We are looking to recruit two Civil Enforcement Officers, one permanent and one fixed term contract. The Civil Enforcement Officer role is critical to the smooth running of the City. Our officers give parking and environmental advice, issue Penalty Charge notices for parking offences and Fixed Penalty notices for littering. Alongside this they are responsible for enforcing the City Centre Public Space Protection Order. We are looking for people with excellent interpersonal skills, who have experience in a similar role or are keen to learn.

Excellent team working, communication and a good level of IT skills are required for the role, along with the ability to remain calm when interacting with the public.  You will be exceptional at working with people to ensure that standards are upheld, firm but fair. You will thrive learning new systems and undertaking continued professional service delivery and will love a challenge.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Good standard of written and spoken English (Level 2)
  • A full UK driving license
  • A willingness to undertake training
  • Good Communication skills
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Physically fit and able walk for up to 9 hours a day in all weathers
