About Us and the Role

 

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join our Fire Protection Team whilst working towards a Level 3 Business Fire Safety Advisor Apprenticeship.

 

Our Fire Protection team provides information and guidance to both business and the commercial sector within Warwickshire on how to reduce the risk of fire within their premises, as well as to raise awareness of the statutory requirements in relation to fire safety.

 

The Business Fire Safety Advisor Apprentice will support the team in working with businesses to help keep their premises safe from fire by offering advice and education to reduce risk to the occupants, with a view to recognising and taking appropriate steps when enforcement action may be required.

 

The role involves a diverse mix of essential work visiting a wide spectrum of businesses as well as joint visits with other agencies to actively support and promote business safety.

 

The Business Fire Safety Advisor Apprentice will represent the fire and rescue service and must demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills to businesses in their community.

 

You will need to demonstrate a proven ability and willingness to study and develop your skills and knowledge to successfully complete the Business Fire safety Advisor qualification. 

 

This is an ideal opportunity for those interested in entering the Fire Safety sector and will provide opportunities and a career pathway to develop the successful candidates’ skills and knowledge in a forward thinking and dynamic organisation.

Completion of this apprenticeship will enable you to apply for further employment with Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service as a Business Fire Safety Advisor subject to available vacancies or for suitable candidates, be considered to work towards the Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship certificate.
