Adult Social Care Governance Team

We are offering a great opportunity for a Portfolio Support Officer to join the Adult Social Care Transformation Programme Office, supporting a wide range of interesting and innovative projects.

As a Portfolio Support Officer, you will provide support to the team to ensure delivery of the Directorate priorities by managing project and programme output, workflow and deadlines. This includes management and tracking of actions, assisting with the creation and maintenance of project plans and reports, assisting with the identification of dependencies, milestones, risks and issues, and supporting others to maintain the project management software. You will also ensure that the high-quality standards of the Adult Social Care Programme Office are upheld whilst supporting the use and adoption of the corporate Programme and Project methodology.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Maths and English Language GCSE Grades A*- C (4-9) or equivalent and a Level 2 project management qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience of summarising, analysing and interpreting information
  • Experience of supporting a range of projects, from individual to large scale projects
  • Experience of liaising with colleagues, partners, and providers
  • Basic knowledge of project management software
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including written skills

Working on a hybrid basis; this role will include a combination of home working and working at least one day per week in the office. There will be the occasional need to travel to other locations within the Borough for meetings and to attend workshops.
